Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves, packed
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, packed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh tarragon leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 2 anchovy fillets (optional, for umami flavor)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

Wash and dry all the fresh herbs thoroughly.

Chop the parsley, basil, tarragon, and chives into smaller pieces to make blending easier.

2. Blend the Dressing:

In a blender or food processor, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, basil, tarragon, chives, anchovy fillets (if using), minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.

Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

3. Season and Adjust:

Taste the dressing and season with salt and pepper. Adjust the lemon juice or herbs to suit your preference.

4. Chill and Serve:

Transfer the dressing to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve chilled over your favorite salad or as a dip for vegetables.
