Ina Garten Chocolate Fondue Recipe

Ina Garten Chocolate Fondue

Chocolate fondue is a smooth, melted chocolate mixture made with heavy cream and a touch of flavoring, served warm for dipping. Ina Garten’s version uses high-quality chocolate, ensuring a decadent, silky texture with a deep, rich taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or light corn syrup (for shine and smoothness)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier, Kahlúa, or rum (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Heat the Cream

  • Warm the cream: In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the heavy cream and butter until it just begins to simmer. Do not boil.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

  • Add the chocolate: Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 1 minute to soften.
  • Stir until smooth: Whisk the chocolate until completely melted and glossy.

Step 3: Add Flavorings

  • Enhance the fondue: Stir in honey (or corn syrup), vanilla extract, and optional liqueur. Mix well to combine.

Step 4: Transfer to a Fondue Pot

  • Keep warm: Pour the fondue into a fondue pot or serving bowl, keeping it warm over low heat if using a fondue set.

Step 5: Serve with Dippers

  • Arrange the dippers: Place fruits, marshmallows, and cookies on a platter and serve with skewers for dipping.
