Ina Garten Roasted Sausage and Grapes Recipe

Ina Garten Roasted Sausage and Grapes

Ina Garten’s Roasted Sausage and Grapes is an Italian-inspired dish that features roasted sausages alongside sweet, juicy grapes that caramelize in the oven. A drizzle of balsamic vinegar enhances the flavor, creating a perfect balance between sweet and savory. It’s an easy sheet-pan meal that requires minimal effort but delivers maximum taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds sweet or spicy Italian sausages
  • 2 cups seedless red or black grapes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional, for extra depth)
  • Crusty bread or mashed potatoes (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Set the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Sausage and Grapes

  • Arrange the sausages – Place the Italian sausages on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  • Add the grapes – Scatter the grapes around the sausages.
  • Drizzle with olive oil – Pour the olive oil over the sausages and grapes, tossing them gently to coat.
  • Season the dish – Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and fresh thyme (if using).

Roast the Dish

  • Bake for 25 minutes – Roast in the preheated oven until the sausages are browned and the grapes are softened.
  • Drizzle with balsamic vinegar – Remove from the oven, drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the sausages and grapes, and gently toss.
  • Return to the oven for 5-10 minutes – Roast until the sausages are fully cooked and the grapes are caramelized.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Rest for a few minutes – Let the dish sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Pair with crusty bread or mashed potatoes – Serve warm with a side of bread to soak up the juices.
