Ina Garten Sausage Balls Recipe

Ina Garten Sausage Balls

Sausage balls are a classic Southern dish made with ground sausage, cheese, and a biscuit mix. Ina Garten’s version brings a touch of sophistication while keeping the recipe easy and approachable.

Ingredients

  • Ground sausage: 1 pound (mild or spicy).
  • Cheddar cheese: 2 cups, shredded.
  • Biscuit mix (e.g., Bisquick): 2 cups.
  • Cream cheese: 4 ounces, softened.
  • Milk: 1/4 cup.
  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon.
  • Onion powder: 1 teaspoon.
  • Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon (optional).
  • Salt and black pepper: To taste.

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2: Combine the ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, biscuit mix, cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Step 3: Shape the sausage balls

  • Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to portion the mixture. Roll it into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.

Step 4: Bake the sausage balls

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.

Step 5: Serve warm

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch dressing or honey mustard.
