Ingredients

For the Sliders

  • Ground beef – 2 pounds (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio recommended)

  • Worcestershire sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Slider buns – 12 mini buns, toasted
  • Cheddar cheese – 6 slices, halved (optional)
  • Butter – 2 tablespoons, melted

For Toppings

  • Lettuce – 12 small leaves
  • Tomato – 1 large, sliced thinly
  • Pickles – 12 slices
  • Red onion – ½, thinly sliced
  • Ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise – for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Beef Mixture

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, kosher salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as it can make the patties dense.

Form the Patties

  • Divide the beef mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 2 ½ inches in diameter. Use your thumb to make a slight indent in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Preheat the Grill or Skillet

  • Preheat a grill, grill pan, or large skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates or pan to prevent sticking.

Cook the Sliders

  • Place the patties on the hot grill or skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side for medium doneness, or adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of doneness.
  • If adding cheese, place a half slice of cheddar on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Toast the Buns
